Sobrevivencia de Esquejes de Tallo Lateral de Genotipos de Solanum phureja

Abstract

En este estudio se evaluó la propagación asexual mediante el uso de esquejes de tallo lateral, de 104 genotipos de papa criolla (S. phureja) en los cuales hay 99 accesiones y cinco variedades comerciales. A los explantes se les aplicó ácido naftalenacético al 0.4% en la base del esqueje y luego fueron sembrados en turba donde permanecieron 30 días. De cada genotipo, se sembraron nueve tubérculos madre y, para la obtención de esquejes de tallo lateral se eliminó el brote apical estimulando la emisión de brotes laterales, antes de la floración de la planta. Periódicamente, se realizaban cortes de esquejes de 3cm de longitud. Se utilizó un diseño de bloques completos al azar con 104 genotipos y un número variable de repeticiones (entre 30 y 50), dependiendo de la capacidad de producción de esquejes de los genotipos. Dentro de los resultados obtenidos, se encontró que los genotipos C15, Criolla Colombia, C72 y C125 presentaron valores de sobrevivencia superiores al 90% mientras los genotipos C122 y 117 presentaron valores de sobrevivencia de 31,82% y 0%, respectivamente, lo cual coloca de manifiesto una respuesta diferencial de los genotipos a este sistema de propagación. La variedad Colombia además de presentar buena sobrevivencia presentó la mayor tasa de multiplicación de esquejes de tallo lateral por planta madre (10.78).
