Abstract

In this document we can find the methodology and results achieved in the development of a spectral signature that allows an approximation to the identification of of Retamo espinoso (Ulex europeus) patches, present in the eastern hills of the Bogotá city, making use of multispectral images free as are those provided by the Copenicus Sentinel-2 mission of the European Space Agency - ESA, which at the date of preparation of this study are those with the best spatial resolution. Additionally, for the processing of multispectral images, the development of the spectral signature and the classification of the covers associated with the Retamo espinoso patches, is used the free license software Quantum GIS - QGIS as a tool, which through the Semi- Automatic Classification complement, the proposed objectives were achieved.
