Abstract

La recarga, es el proceso de infiltración del agua hacia un acuífero, y la zona donde se da este proceso se denomina zona de recarga. En gran parte del territorio colombiano, en especial en municipios o comunidades donde su fuente de abastecimiento de agua para usos domésticos y/o agrícolas, son las aguas subterráneas, y en la mayoría no se están implementando estrategias de conservación y protección de las zonas de recarga hídrica de acuíferos, más aún, no se tiene identificado con certeza dichas zonas, esto implica que la gestión de cuenca no está fortalecida. Partiendo de lo mencionado anteriormente, en el presente artículo se pretende identificar las metodologías usadas para la identificación de zonas de recarga hídrica, pero también, que esta metodología permite que un municipio o comunidad con recursos financieros limitados pueda aplicar en su territorio. Se ejecutó una revisión bibliográfica de diferentes metodologías aplicadas y analizadas no solamente en Colombia, también en países de América Latina, entre estos Costa Rica, Cuba, Panamá, Nicaragua, Guatemala y el Salvador; las principales fuentes de consulta se basaron en tesis de maestría, artículos científicos y trabajos de organizaciones de investigación como el Centro Agronómico Tropical de Investigación y Enseñanza (CATIE). Los resultados de la revisión muestran trabajos importantes en donde aplican metodologías con modelos matemáticos hasta metodologías participativas, así mismo, trabajos investigativos donde se proponen alternativas para la recarga artificial de acuíferos.

Recharging is the process of infiltrating water into an aquifer; and the area where this process occurs is called the reload zone. In much of Colombia's territory, especially in municipalities or communities where their source of water for domestic and/or agricultural uses is groundwater, and most are not implementing conservation and protection strategies of the aquifer water recharge zones, but even more so, these areas are not identified with certainty, this implies that the basin management is not strengthened. Based on the above, this article is intended to identify the methodologies used for the identification of water recharge zones, but also, that this methodology allows a municipality or community with financial resources limits may apply in its territory. A blibliography review of different methodologies applied and analyzed was carried out not only in Colombia, but in countries of Latin America, among these Costa Rica, Cuba, Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala and El Salvador; the main sources of consultation were based on master's thesis, scientific articles and works of research organizations such as the Tropical Agronomic Research and Teaching Center (CATIE). The results of the review show important work in which they apply methodologies with mathematical models to participatory methodologies, as well as research works where alternatives are proposed for the artificial recharge of aquifers.
