Volar drones está generando un riesgo para la seguridad operacional de la aviación civil tanto nacional como internacional, toda vez que el desarrollo tecnológico de estas aeronaves viene creciendo considerablemente, sobrepasando los límites normativos de altura y cobertura definidos por la autoridad, además se suma que las personas que adquieren estos vehículos desconocen las medidas de seguridad vigentes y las consecuencias que puede traer el operar irresponsablemente sobre un espacio aéreo controlado, siendo importante conocer de principio que casos se han presentado en los diferentes aeropuertos del mundo. Aplicando una metodología cualitativa se buscar detectar el riesgo potencial que enfrenta el sector aéreo y determinar si hacen falta más medidas en el marco normativo que ayuden a mitigar el riesgo.
