Abstract

The artificial wetlands, also known like constructed or of treatment, appear, at present, as one of the big green alternatives for the treatment of lixiviados, in those sanitary landfills alone where one possesses a simple, conventional process and / or his current capacity does not allow the suitable managing of the total of the same ones; it is the case of the Sanitary Landfill "Ecological Park Reciclante" of Villavicencio's city. This article focuses in an investigation of Study of Case; in the methodology there is realized a bibliographical search that allows to determine the need of the suitable treatment of lixiviados in the sanitary landfill in mention and they propose the vegetable viable species for the treatment of these liquid residues. With the obtained information the offer of design is consolidated, and his criteria, of this type of wetlands in the sanitary landfill "Ecological Park Reciclante", as well as there is ratified the viability and simplicity of this alternative to purify these waters and to return them to the tributaries that cross the city of a clean way, favoring the integration in the environment and the naturalization of the space.
