Cohousing: Una alternativa comunitaria a la propiedad privada

Abstract

The present paper shows a general description of cohousing, defined as a communitarian housing model where owners can share some usual places but keeping some private space. The aim of this document is to analyze from an institutional approach, the implications of this housing model over traditional notions of private property and its influence in individuals and collectivities. Some of the most remarkable results are: agents’ motivation to renounce to their private space is directly related to saves, and there are combined institutional factors, that is a combination between constructivism and evolutive approaches.
