Abstract

Habitualmente las personas asumen que la gerencia, por defecto, es liderazgo. En la realidad existen muchas características que diferencian el uno de otro, debido a que gerenciar y liderar son roles muy distintos dentro de una organización, el presente documento exhibe dos aspectos trascendentales que constituyen una alarma para no caer en una gerencia tradicional u obsoleta: Crecimiento como persona y la Zona de Confort; a medida que la tecnología ha tomado fuerza, las personas en las organizaciones deben replantear como avanza su personal de manejo y confianza, los cuales en la mayoría de los casos llevan laborando muchos años de trayectoria en la empresa pero sin mirar a su alrededor y por otra parte su crecimiento espiritual y la coherencia a que esto conlleva. El enfoque está basado en dos casos gerenciales observados en un ámbito real de la Organización Panamericana para el desarrollo y se analizará la coherencia de una gerencia tradicional que se ha hecho en la organización y que se aparta de una verdadera gerencia productiva, evolutiva y actualizada.
