Abstract

El siguiente ensayo tiene el propósito de hacer un análisis al programa ofrecido por el gobierno nacional llamado Beneficios Económicos periódicos (BEPS) y los beneficios que tiene para la población más vulnerable en Colombia de los estratos I, II y III del Sisben, especialmente la población de la tercera edad, la cual no cuenta con in ingreso fijo y tiene bajos niveles de cotización en el sistema pensional, es por esto que el estado debe garantizar a dicha población una vejez digna. El programa Beneficios económicos periódicos (BEPS , es una iniciativa del gobierno nacional para que los 10,8 millones de colombianos que ganan menos de un salario mínimo puedan ahorrar y cuando lleguen a la vejez puedan tener una renta vitalicia y gocen del subsidio del 20% sobre el ahorro realizado. El objetivo principal de los BEPS es mejorar las condiciones de vida de los adultos mayores más vulnerables, esta tarea la tiene a cargo Colpensiones, creada mediante el artículo 155 de la ley 1151 de 2007, la cual administra los beneficios económicos periódicos (BEPS). digna.

The following essay has the purpose to analyze the program offered by the National Government called Periodic Economic Benefits (BEPS) and the aids it has for the most vulnerable population in Colombia at levels I, II and III of the Identification System for potential beneficiaries for Social Programs (SISBEN), especially the seniors population which do not count with an income fixed and has low levels of contributions in the Pension System. Periodic Economic Benefits Program (BEPS) is an initiative of the National Government aimed for the 10.8 million Colombians who earn less than a minimum wage and have no guarantee to get a pension, can save up to reach the age of retirement and that way get a 20% subsidy on the saved value and thus achieve a life annuity. BEPS is a program of voluntary savings created under article 155 of the 1151 Act of 2007, which is administered by the Colombian Pension Administrator - COLPENSIONES, and which aims to improve the living conditions of vulnerable elders.
