Abstract

Green roofs are the result of the revival of an ancient wisdom that reawakened to the extent that conventional constructions have become "monotonous" and costly from the point of environmental, landscape and energy view, which has been generated a rediscovery of the technical integration of nature in the infrastructure and specifically intended for institutional use, for its high concentration of population creates a greater impact who makes use of it; however, there are still some issues that are not entirely clear, such as to exert influence on structures, if they are economically viable and its environmental implication in the environment that is a little more advanced. In the same way and being a relatively new topic in Colombia experiences and literature available are not widespread so knowing a little further this issue will generate more interest for your application adoption increases.
