En este trabajo echaremos una mirada a la realidad de la Contabilidad Ambiental en nuestro país, empezamos con la descripción de los inicios de esta importante actividad primero desde lo público a nivel nación y después desde la empresa. En su primera parte se nos enuncia la introducción hecha en la materia por la Constitución Política de 1991 llamada la Constitución verde y miraremos las herramientas dadas por los entes de carácter internacional quienes en su afán de controlar y mitigar el daño causado por la actividad económica al planeta han implementado una serie de estándares y medidas para que sean implementados por los estados y las empresas a fin de mejorar las practicas hechas alrededor del mundo en estos temas. In this paper we will look at the reality of Environmental Accounting in our country, we begin by describing the beginnings of this important activity, first from the public sector and then from the private industry. In the first part we set out the introduction made in this area by the Constitution of 1991 called the Green Constitution and look at the tools given by international authorities, who in their eagerness to control and mitigate the damage caused by economic activity to the planed, have implemented a series of standards and measures to be implemented by the public sector and private industry to improve practices made around the world on these issues.
