At present, pavement rehabilitation activities are the most used mechanisms to recover the structural capacity of a road and make it competent for a new period of service. Some activities associated to the need to rehabilitate involve the retirement from the existing structure to put the reinforcement later. The “12 Carrera” is a road of Funza town that presents some deterioration of functional and structural type, which inhibits the correct movement of the users, generating risk of accidents. This made the entities involved in the track maintenance worry, for that reason it has been decided to intervene it immediately. Based on the report about pavement design from the consulting firm Espinosa & Restrepo, intervention strategies are presented with the implementation of new geosynthetics technologies like the cellular confinement systems – Neoweb The pavements design reinforced with neoweb for the “12 Carrera”, has as purpose, optimize the thickness of design to avoid the affectation of existing nets, as well as the decrease of the volume of stony aggregates and over excavations. In this article is performed a description of the methodology used for the design the pavement structures reinforced with neoweb is proposed in which the thickness of improvement will vary to conclude wich is the alternative that has more viability to build.
