Las organizaciones de base día a día van cobrando importancia en el ámbito de la economía. Su importancia trasciende más allá del mero ejercicio de adquirir utilidades, pues su impacto tiene la capacidad de contribuir a mejorar la situación de personas que no tiene un empleo estable y en condiciones dignas. Estas organizaciones por la naturaleza de su objeto social buscan el beneficio de sus asociados y el de la comunidad en general. Licitar con entidades estatales representa una gran oportunidad para este tipo de organizaciones, pues por el monto de los contratos así como por la confianza que representa el contratar con entes públicos conlleva a materializar sus aspiraciones sociales y económicas; este ensayo pretende hacer un acercamiento a la contratación que es accesible por parte de este tipo de organizaciones, específicamente en la Secretaria Distrital de integración Social.
