Este documento estudia la relación entre policía judicial y el debido proceso en el marco del procedimiento penal. Estableciendo una caracterización de la policía judicial con fundamento en las funciones legales y constitucionales que este órgano debe cumplir en aras a que la fase investigativa del proceso contribuya al esclarecimiento de la verdad, precisando en que eventos las funciones desempeñadas por la policía judicial posibilitan la materialización o la vulneración del debido proceso, entendiendo este derecho en todas las dimensiones que orientan el proceso penal.
