Abstract

Ante la inminente necesidad de crear políticas que apunten a la autorregulación y a generar conciencia en el uso responsable del agua por ser ésta un recurso natural no renovable, el gobierno central ve la necesidad de diseñar estrategias que permitan mejorar la calidad del agua que consume la población, y así mismo aumentar la cobertura de este servicio, pues a nivel nacional son muchas las poblaciones que no cuentan con la construcción de sistemas de acueducto que cumplan con los parámetros básicos que aseguren la efectiva prestación del servicio.
