Eficacia de la clorhexidina como antiséptico en la prevención de infecciones quirúrgicas

Abstract

Las infecciones quirúrgicas son una de las principales complicaciones postoperatorias, con un impacto significativo en la morbilidad, la mortalidad y los costes sanitarios. La clorhexidina es un antiséptico ampliamente utilizado en la profilaxis preoperatoria debido a su eficacia antimicrobiana de amplio espectro y su persistencia en la piel. Objetivo: Analizar la eficacia de la clorhexidina como antiséptico en el ámbito quirúrgico, comparándola con otros agentes antisépticos y evaluando su impacto en la reducción de complicaciones postoperatorias. Metodología: Este trabajo consiste en una revisión bibliográfica, para lo cual se realizará una búsqueda en bases de datos como PubMed, Scopus y CINAHL, empleando palabras clave como "clorhexidina", "antisepsia preoperatoria", "prevención de infecciones quirúrgicas" y "comparación de antisépticos".
