Exergetic and Thermoeconomic Analysis of The Hygroscopic Cycle

Abstract

En esta tesis, tras realizar una revisión exhaustiva de los desafíos, perspectivas e impactos del sector de generación eléctrica y los ciclos de potencia existentes, se presentan las principales características del Ciclo Higroscópico (HC). A continuación, una serie de pruebas experimentales a escala de planta piloto permitieron comprender y caracterizar el principio de funcionamiento del ciclo. Posteriormente, se analizó un caso real de estudio a escala industrial, centrado en una central eléctrica de biomasa alimentada por residuos de extracción de aceite de oliva en el sur de España. Se realizaron análisis de energía y exergía para comparar el ciclo higroscópico y el ciclo de Rankine anteriormente existente en términos de rendimiento. Además, se desarrolló un análisis exergoeconómico de ambos ciclos para identificar sus componentes más críticos desde una perspectiva económica y de eficiencia y comparar el coste normalizado de generación eléctrica de ambos sistemas.
