Modelo de susceptibilidad de movimientos en masa profundos para Asturias (Norte de España)

Abstract

Se ha realizado un modelo de susceptibilidad de movimientos en masa profundos para un sector de 10.000 km2 en la vertiente norte de la Cordillera Cantábrica. En la realización del modelo la información básica ha sido la cartografía, a escala 1:25.000, de estos movimientos (4500 polígonos), la cartografía geológica y una subdivisión del territorio en subcuencas de drenaje de reducidas dimensiones. Combinando dos factores condicionantes: 1) litología del sustrato y 2) pertenencia a las subcuencas de drenaje, el territorio se ha clasificado en Unidades de Condición Única y se ha realizado un análisis de probabilidad condicional. El modelo obtenido, con valores de probabilidad continuos, ha sido clasificado en un mapa con 5 intervalos de susceptibilidad relativa. La presencia de áreas con distinta susceptibilidad sigue en gran medida un criterio litológico, aunque muestra algunas modificaciones impuestas por el relieve, por la situación geomorfológica o por otros factores locales. Algunas características de los movimientos en masa analizados - antigüedad, inactividad actual o baja frecuencia temporal - hacen que el significado del modelo de susceptibilidad y su posible aplicación en un análisis de riesgo deban de ser considerados cuidadosamente.
