Estudio de las consultas odontoestomatológicas en el Servicio de Urgencias de un Hospital Comarcal

Abstract

Objetivos: Registrar la prevalencia de dichas consultas en el contexto general y atendiendo a la distribución topográfica y patogénica de las mismas. Determinar la prevalencia de variables demográficas, clínicas, patológicas y terapéuticas, y su alcance en la atención del SU hospitalario. Exponer datos relevantes para el desarrollo de protocolos de actuación. Material y Métodos: Estudio descriptivo, epidemiológico, observacional, transversal y retrospectivo de los pacientes que solicitaron asistencia urgente odontoestomatológica en el Área de Urgencias del Hospital V. Álvarez Buylla de Mieres, Asturias, entre el 1 de junio de 2014 y el 30 de mayo de 2017. Cuenta con la aprobación del Comité de Ética de la Investigación del Principado de Asturias, y de la Comisión de Investigación y del AGC de Urgencias del HVAB. Se realizó análisis estadístico descriptivo y multivariante de variables demográficas, antecedentes personales y variables patológicas. Se estableció como nivel de significación estadística un valor de p < 0,05. Para el análisis estadístico se usó el programa IBM SPSS®, versión 26 para Mac.
