Fisioterapia en el tratamiento del manguito rotador

Abstract

En el tratamiento conservador de la tendinopatía del manguito rotador se utilizan distintas modalidades terapéuticas, entre ellas se encuentran: las ondas de choque, el plasma rico en plaquetas, los programas de ejercicio terapéutico, la laserterapia, las inyecciones de corticosteroides, el kinesiotaping, la electrolisis percutánea intra-tisular, el ultrasonido y el TENS. Esta revisión bibliográfica analizó varios ensayos aleatorizados, en los cuales fue estudiada la eficacia de las modalidades terapéuticas mencionadas anteriormente. Para llevar a cabo la selección de trabajos científicos se realizó una búsqueda bibliográfica en las principales bases de datos científicas usando criterios de inclusión y exclusión para hacer una selección más precisa. La terapia con ondas de choque fue la más efectiva a la hora de tratar la tendinopatía del maguito rotador, las demás modalidades también tuvieron un impacto positivo, pero este fue menor que él de las ondas de choque. A pesar de los resultados positivos obtenidos con estas técnicas, la mayoría tienen una baja evidencia y escasos estudios.
