Validación de un sistema de triaje pediátrico

Abstract

Los sistemas de triaje estructurado fueron diseñados para atender una demanda asistencial creciente en los servicios de urgencias y fueron adaptados para su uso en pediatría. Pero los servicios de urgencias pediátricos tienen unas características específicas que los diferencian de los del adulto y requieren herramientas concretas. La pandemia provocada por la COVID-19 modificó la atención urgente, afectando a la organización de los sistemas de salud y a los profesionales. La atención urgente se vio colapsada por una alta demanda asistencial, a pesar de disminuir el número de pacientes. El triaje como parte fundamental de los servicios de urgencias y de su organización también tuvo que adaptarse para hacer frente a esta nueva situación. Objetivos: Comparar la validez del Sistema de Triaje Pediátrico con el Sistema de Triaje Manchester en pediatría en sus versiones 1 y 3. Comprobar la validez del Sistema de Triaje Pediátrico. Analizar las diferencias provocadas por la pandemia COVID-19 en un servicio de urgencias de pediatría en el triaje y la atención urgente a pacientes pediátricos
