Sincronización rítmica y canto coral

Abstract

Introducción: La sincronización rítmica es el proceso mediante el cual las personas pueden unificar diferentes funciones psicológicas y fisiológicas con un pulso específico. Por otra parte, el canto coral como actividad eminentemente rítmica y sincrónica produce cambios neurofisiológicos, como por ejemplo la alteración de la frecuencia cardíaca. Objetivos: El objetivo principal de este estudio era analizar la relación entre la frecuencia cardíaca y el entrainment rítmico generado a través del canto coral. Método: Se diseñó una sesión con momentos cantados y no cantados en la que participaron 5 mujeres (x̄ = 20 años). Las frecuencias cardíacas fueron registradas en diez momentos, cantados y no cantados, y se empleó la Escala de Valoración del Estado de Ánimo al inicio y final de la misma para rastrear posibles cambios anímicos a raíz de la sesión. Resultados: La ansiedad de las participantes se redujo significativamente. La frecuencia cardíaca aumentó de manera significativa en los momentos cantados respecto a los no cantados y se produjo una reducción de la variabilidad de la tasa cardíaca. Conclusiones: La sincronización rítmica es un proceso con múltiples aplicaciones en la psicología y otros campos, como pueden ser la reducción de la ansiedad o el aumento de la cooperación.
