Abstract

Se implementa una experiencia didáctica de generación de conocimiento compartido sobre plagas urbanas mediante la reflexión individual estructurada y la exposición de las experiencias vitales relacionadas entre alumnado de un programa universitario para mayores de 50 años. Se destaca la elaboración conjunta de las especies con percepciones más negativas asociadas (ratas, cucarachas y piojos), si bien la suma de las especies consideradas en su TOP3 individual alcanzó las 16 especies, mostrando una gran variación derivada de las propias experiencias de vida. Se recopilaron percepciones negativas en proporción variable para 33 especies, en su mayoría pero no solo insectos, que habitan las ciudades, y que fueron consideradas por algún/a participante como plagas urbanas asociadas a alguno(s) de los ambientes de las casas (incluyendo el jardín). Las experiencias de vida compartidas permitieron comprender conjuntamente las percepciones sobre las distintas especies consideradas, incrementar los conocimientos individuales y matizarlos de acuerdo con el conjunto de experiencias expuestas. A didactic experience of generation of shared knowledge on urban pests is implemented through structured individual reflexions and life experiences comments among mature students of a university program for those older than 50 years. The shared elaboration of the main three urban pest species list (TOP3) with more negative perceptions associated (rats, cockroaches and lice) is highlight. The sum of the species included in the individual TOP3 lists reached 16 species, showing a great variation derived from their own life experiences. Negative perceptions were collected in a variable proportion for 33 species inhabiting cities, mostly but not only insects, that were considered by some participants as urban pests associated with some of the home environments (including the garden). The life experiences approach made possible to understand the perceptions on the different species considered, increase individual knowledge on urban pest and adjust this knowledge according to the set of individual experiences shared.
