Revisión teórica de los estilos educativos parentales

Abstract

La familia es el entorno más importante donde las personas aprenden a socializarse y reciben una formación esencial para el desarrollo de su proyecto vital. El objetivo del presente trabajo fin de máster es realizar una revisión a lo largo de las aportaciones más relevantes en la literatura científica en relación con los estilos educativos parentales. El interés de dicho trabajo, radica en analizar las implicaciones de cada Estilo Educativo Parental respecto al desarrollo psicosocial de los niños y jóvenes, con las aportaciones que los distintos modelos teóricos presentan a lo largo de las últimas décadas. Concretamente, la revisión se centró en tres aspectos: (1) Revisión de los Estilos Educativos Parentales y análisis de los más adecuados a nuestra sociedad; (2) Relación de los estilos educativos parentales y los trastornos más habituales en la infancia y adolescencia; (3) Recopilación de los instrumentos de evaluación destinados a analizar los estilos educativos parentales. Teniendo en cuenta la literatura, se pudo concluir que los estilos educativos parentales se configuran como un pilar básico que favorece o perjudica el desarrollo psicosocial de los hijos, pudiendo incluso jugar un papel importante en la aparición de trastornos, por lo que es preciso valorar y analizar los estilos educativos de las familias.
