Dimensionamiento de redes de sensores para aplicaciones IoT

Abstract

Se trata de analizar una topología de red mallada de doble capa con el fin de optimizar el despliegue de redes de sensores en aplicaciones en el ámbito del Internet de las Cosas (IoT). La primera capa estará formada por un conjunto de Gateways interconectados entre sí mediante un protocolo Ad-Hoc inalámbrico de largo alcance y la segunda capa estará compuesta por un conjunto de sensores conectados mediante un protocolo de comunicación inalámbrico de corto alcance (con objeto de minimizar el consumo elétrico). Para ambas capas se estudiarán los diferentes protocolos disponibles y se seleccionarán los que se consideren más adecuados para una mayoría de aplicaciones. En base a ellos se diseñará e implementará un prototipo demostrador. Finalmente, se realizará un análisis sobre el prototipo que permitirá dimensionar adecuadamente la red de sensores para cualquier aplicación de IoT en función del número de sensores, distancia entre sensores, área total a cubrir, cobertura. inalámbrico, etc.
