Diferencias neuropsicológicas entre subtipos de deterioro cognitivo leve.

Abstract

Introducción: En los últimos años, las investigaciones han centrado su interés en hallar el perfil neuropsicológico que distinga los distintos subtipos de DCL. Objetivo: El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la existencia de diferencias significativas en procesos neuropsicológicos como estado general de conciencia, atención, memoria, lenguaje, visopercepción y función ejecutiva entre dos subtipos de DCL (disejecutivo y multidominio). Métodos: Se seleccionó una muestra de 37 pacientes con DCL con edades entre 40 y 83 años pertenecientes a consultas privadas de Medellín, a los que se les administraron diferentes pruebas de valoración neuropsicológica. Resultados: Los resultados muestran la existencia de diferencias significativas entre los dos subtipos de DCL: los sujetos con un perfil de deterioro multidominio mostraron una peor ejecución en tareas visoperceptivas, de memoria verbal, de lenguaje y, contrariamente a lo esperado, de función ejecutiva. Conclusiones: Estos hallazgos son relevantes para la intervención neuropsicológica y prevención del deterioro. post-print 1497 KB
