This essay tries to approach the actual economic crisis with the advices of the sages of Ancient Israel collected in the book of Proverbs. Despite the great time lapse and cultural and social differences between the reality lived by these authors and what we are experiencing nowadays, their proposals are still relevant and can guide our behavior so that situation of crisis like the one we are immersed in may not happen again.
