Redes de apoyo social y Trabajo Social

Abstract

Las relaciones juegan un papel fundamental en la práctica del Trabajo Social (Munro, 2010). La mayoría de los problemas sociales encuentran solución a partir de la capacidad de movilización del capital social (Lin, 2001). Las interacciones sociales afectan a la calidad de vida de las personas (Durkheim, 2002), impactando en su bienestar subjetivo. Esto puede actuar como un amortiguador frente a los efectos negativos del estrés que provocan determinados problemas sociales. Actualmente la mayor conectividad social que proponen las redes sociales online se han convertido en un universo de socialización que permite dinámicas interactivas desconocidas hasta hace poco. El objetivo de esta investigación fue conocer si las redes sociales online podían ayudar a los usuarios de un centro de servicios sociales comunitarios de la provincia de Málaga a mejorar sus redes de apoyo social y su capacidad de resiliencia. Para ello se desarrollo un modelo de experimentación social desde el que se genero un grupo online en Facebook que sirviera de plataforma de intercambio y apoyo mutuo y se dieron pautas de uso en distintos talleres. Los resultados han evidenciado que la mayor conectividad online ha catalizado la secuencia inversa online-offline, dando lugar a una comunidad local e influyendo en la mejora del apoyo social y la resiliencia de los usuarios.
