Diseño de un sistema de control de inventarios de repuestos para cosechadoras en un ingenio azucarero del Valle del Cauca

Abstract

La investigación se realizó en la industria azucarera del Valle del Cauca. Se identificó y clasificó características de repuestos de máquinas cosechadoras, y se desarrolló un sistema de pronóstico y control de inventarios, además se utilizó información obtenida del ERP que maneja la empresa y de las personas que están en contacto a diario con el proceso, y se utilizaron técnicas como un método de clasificación multicriterio de inventarios, sistema de pronostico y control de inventarios. Se validó el impacto de tiempos de inactividad de máquinas cosechadoras encontrando el 55% de ítems controlados clase C. Sólo se controla el 25% de ítems clase A, dejando por fuera un 75% de repuestos críticos los cuales son los que pueden generar paradas de maquina. En la clasificación de ítems, la Criticidad y el Lead Time obtuvieron valores de 54% y 20% respectivamente, siendo considerados los criterios con mayor importancia. El método de pronóstico que presentó mejores resultados en los repuestos con demanda no errática fue la suavización exponencial doble, dio menores errores de pronóstico, en 81% de los repuestos y para los repuestos con demanda errática fue el método de croston
