Estudio mössbauer y Drx del sistema Fe0.5Si0.5 aleado mecánicamente

Abstract

In the present work the study of the hyperfine and structural parameters of the Fe0.5Si0.5 system took place, by means of Mössbauer spectrometry (ME) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The samples were prepared by means of mechanical alloying milling during 2, 4, 8, 12, 24, 36 and 48 hours, in the high energy planetary ball mill Pulverisette 5. The Mössbauer study was realized at room temperature. The adjustment of patterns for samples milled from 2 to 12 hours was realized with a sextet of the -Fe and a doublet which, in agreement with its paramagnetic character, is associated to FCC phase of silicon. This component increases with milling time. The adjustment of the patterns corresponding to 24, 36 and 48 hours was realized with 3 sextetes and a doublet. The initial sextet was conserved during the milling process, with a mean hyperfine field (HBf) of 33,0 T. This result is supported by the obtained X-rays results, which detected the presence of the BCC Fe structure during all the milling process
