The general solution for the dispersión of inertial particles in a turbulent simple shear flow developed by Hyland et al. (1999) has been implemented in the symbolic mathematics package Mathematica v. 5 (Wolfram, 1989). Such general solution has been evaluated in different situations depending on the value of the several turbulent parameters. Comparison of the obtained results with the numerical computations of Hyland et al. (1999) and theoretical expressions of Zaichik (1997) is excellent
