Abstract

La presencia del mundo animal en Platero y yo es notable y muy significativa, no solo por la aparición de Platero, cuyo sentido será el eje central de este trabajo, sino también por las numerosas referencias a distintos animales. La primera parte de la exposición se dedicará a recorrer los capítulos donde los animales son protagonistas. Sirvan como ejemplo, entre muchos otros, “Mariposas blancas” (capítulo II), “”Golondrinas” (capítulo XIII), “El potro castrado” (capítulo XV), “El loro” (capítulo XX), “Los gallos” (capítulo LVIII), “La tortuga griega” (capítulo LXXXVII) o “La yegua blanca” (capítulo CVIII). Asimismo, será objeto de análisis en la segunda parte de la exposición la reflexión de Juan Ramón en el libro sobre términos como “asno” (y su asociación con "hombre ignorante") o “fábula”, muy interesante para entender el significado global de la obra
