Abstract

Este capítulo se enmarca en el desarrollo del proyecto de investigación nacional titulado “El Metaverso: la Realidad Extendida (Virtual y Aumentada) en la educación superior: Diseño, Producción, Evaluación y Formación de programas de realidad extendida para la enseñanza universitaria (MEREVIA)”, financiado por el Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación del Gobierno de España (PID2021-127981OB-I00), y coordinado desde la Universidad de Sevilla. - Asimismo, los autores desean expresar su agradecimiento a la Universidad de León por el apoyo recibido a través del Programa de Ayudas para la Realización de Estudios de Doctorado en el Marco del Programa Propio de Investigación, del cual se desarrolla el contrato predoctoral de uno de ellos. Esta contribución forma parte de las actividades de investigación vinculadas a su tesis doctoral y se difunde como parte del compromiso de visibilidad de los resultados obtenidos con dicha financiación.

[ES] En la última década, el desarrollo tecnológico ha propiciado la introducción paulatina de tecnologías inmersivas en diversos niveles educativos, incluyendo la educación infantil. Las tecnologías de Realidad Extendida (XR, por sus siglas en inglés), que comprenden la Realidad Aumentada (AR), la Realidad Virtual (VR) y la Realidad Mixta (MR), han comenzado a posicionarse como herramientas con potencial para enriquecer experiencias de aprendizaje, fomentar la motivación y facilitar el desarrollo de competencias desde edades tempranas (Almenara & Llorente, 2025).
