Abstract

[EN] Are concomitances possible between Greek literature and the later preternatural order of the Middle Ages? Can there be links between mythology and the demonic dimension despite the apparent epoch-making and sociological differences? Did the devil always have a negative connotation? Next, it is intended to show the links that survive between both literatures, and how the presence of the evil one in medieval exempla is related to motifs and figures from the Greek mythical world, with metamorphosis being one of the driving elements.
