Abstract

[EN] The study focuses on designing a solar-powered sprinkler irrigation system, programmed and regulated by a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), in order to demonstrate the advantages it presents compared to the commonly used furrow irrigation system. This design also has the peculiarity of dividing the plot into sectors using electrovalves regulated by the PLC. This allows for the precise administration of water needed for plant growth and reduces the need for a larger pumping system since irrigation will be done in sectors rather than the entire plot. As a result, the photovoltaic generator will also be smaller, and the initial investment will be lower.
