Abstract

El objeto de este trabajo es analizar la responsabilidad social corporativa, en adelante RSC, desde un punto de vista práctico, planteando un método para su implementación en distintas compañías y haciendo especial hincapié en lo referente a personas con discapacidad y su papel en la RSC. Aunque podemos encontrar diversas definiciones de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa procedentes de diferentes organizaciones, desde el punto de vista del autor se podría resumir como el compromiso que asumen de forma voluntaria las distintas organizaciones, empresas o entes mediante el cual realizan su actividad con valores que sobrepasan el mero cumplimiento de la legislación vigente en cada estado en el que actúan. Estos valores reflejan la sensibilidad por el medioambiente, la prevención, la conciliación, la igualdad de oportunidades, la calidad, el desarrollo de la región, las buenas prácticas empresariales con empleados, clientes y proveedores, en definitiva, responsables con la sociedad. Implantar un sistema de responsabilidad social no es costoso, es otra forma de trabajar más responsable, justa y enfocada al futuro, es una forma de potenciar la actividad de la compañía. La RSC es una plataforma de desarrollo sostenible.
