Impacto y percepción de la responsabilidad social corporativa (RSC): análisis del sector financiero en España

Abstract

La responsabilidad social corporativa (RSC) ha adquirido una extraordinaria actualidad en los últimos años, tanto en el entorno académico como en el mundo empresarial. En este trabajo se pretende ofrecer una visión clara del concepto de RSC, de su evolución y de cómo las empresas están asumiendo su responsabilidad social. La actual crisis económica, iniciada en 2007-2008, está afectando a los mercados mundiales y se acusa al sector financiero de ser el principal causante de la situación. El presente estudio recoge una revisión del sector financiero, analizando sus componentes, su labor de intermediación y la profunda transformación que ha tenido en los últimos años, centrando el análisis en el marco español. El sector financiero tiene una gran incidencia en el desarrollo social y económico, y en este trabajo se analiza el impacto que provocan en la sociedad las prácticas de RSC de las entidades financieras (analizando datos reales del Grupo BBVA y Grupo Santander) y la percepción por parte de los ‘grupos de interés’ de estas acciones
