La influencia de la responsabilidad social corporativa (RSC) sobre la sostenibilidad del crecimiento empresarial

Abstract

El gran logro de la humanidad en los próximos años será buscar el equilibrio entre las actividades humanas y la sostenibilidad del propio planeta. A nivel general, dentro del desarrollo sostenible se integrarían los objetivos económicos, junto con los sociales y ecológicos. A nivel de empresa, la sostenibilidad conllevaría el logro del crecimiento y desarrollo de la misma de forma equilibrada y mantenida en el tiempo, contribuyendo de forma notable a asegurar su propia supervivencia. En este sentido, el modelo de crecimiento financieramente sostenible se muestra como una útil herramienta de análisis que facilita tal situación. Además, de forma paralela, también resulta primordial la política de Responsabilidad Social Corporativa (RSC) llevada a cabo por la empresa, que ofrece la posibilidad de convertirse en un instrumento de gran valor, permitiendo mantener el nivel de desarrollo y crecimiento deseado y ofreciendo simultáneamente cubrir las necesidades de los grupos con los que interactúa la empresa y legitimizar su actividad empresarial. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la influencia de la RSC sobre el crecimiento empresarial. Para ello, se ha analizado el crecimiento experimentado por el Grupo Telefónica Móviles en los últimos años y la política de RSC puesta en práctica, con el fin de poder alcanzar unas conclusiones que arrojen luz sobre el éxito de la sostenibilidad de tales actuaciones.
