Vulnerabilidad natural por líquenes en un lugar de interés paleontológico

Abstract

La Laguna estratigráfica del Arroyo de Barcaliente es el nombre que recibe un Lugar de interés geológico (en adelante LIG) regional situado en el municipio de Valdelugueros (León) y que fue incluido en el inventario provincial coordinado por Fernández-Martínez y Fuertes-Gutiérrez (2009). Se trata de una sección labrada por la acción erosiva de un arroyo que vierte sus aguas al río Curueño y en la que afloran, con un buzamiento aproximadamente vertical, varias formaciones del Paleozoico (Fig. 1). Este afloramiento es interesante por tratarse de una zona habitualmente ocupada por cerrados robledales, hayedos, matorral y pinos de repoblación que no favorecen la presencia de roca desnuda.
