Bookeo: Compra venta de libros de lectura escolares

Abstract

This task describes the process of development of a hybrid application through the Iconic framework, used to carry out the buying and selling of school reading books. Reading is one of the key activities that has been developed in schools not only as a learning tool but also to acquire the students¿ reading skill development as it allows to turn information into knowledge. All schools count on a Reading Plan in which the different teaching departments, from different areas, work with some recommended reading books for each school year. It is highly important to mention that the linguistic areas are the most active in this assignment. This task is usually based on reading books that familiarize students with the authors since these books have been previously adapted from the original ones in order to facilitate their comprehension. Moreover, the same books are dealt with during several school years and even in different schools. For this reason, Bookeo tries to be a connection that follows the Flea Market Philosophy so that users can publish reading books in an easy way. Users can also find books of their interests and eventually they can contact other users in order to make a sale by means of a preferred distance geolocation.
