Global service desk database

Abstract

In this degree project we will design an operational database with warehouse functions that will operate as support for a future application which will handle the creation of requests and incidences by end users. We will design the database through 3 different stages: The conceptual stage, where we will transfer the problem into an UML diagram, reflecting the entities, their attributes and the relationships between them. The next stage is the logical stage, where the conceptual model will be translated into a collection of logical sentences and finally the physical stage, where these logical sentences will be translated into SQL statements for the chosen DBMS.
