Ataques a WPA2 con Pyrit

Abstract

Mediante este trabajo, se pretende dar a conocer las vulnerabilidades y ataques contra el protocolo WPA2, pero sobretodo el ataque de fuerza bruta. A través de varios casos prácticos, se pretende demostrar que a pesar de los años que han pasado desde que se aprobó el estándar 802.11i y siempre que se configure correctamente, aún sigue siendo resistente a ataques de fuerza bruta. Para realizar el proyecto, se ha empleado una herramienta que permite el trabajo de forma distribuida y de esa manera ampliar el poder de computación usando tarjetas gráficas y varios equipos conectados en red.

Mitjançant aquest treball, es pretén donar a conèixer les vulnerabilitats i atacs contra el protocol WPA2, però sobretot l'atac de força bruta. A través de diversos casos pràctics, es pretén demostrar que malgrat els anys que han passat des que es va aprovar l'estàndard 802.11i i sempre que es configuri correctament, encara segueix sent resistent a atacs de força bruta. Per realitzar el projecte, s'ha emprat una eina que permet el treball de forma distribuïda i d'aquesta manera ampliar el poder de computació usant targetes gràfiques i diversos equips connectats en xarxa.

With this project, we want to show the vulnerabilities and attacks of the WPA2 protocol, including the brute force attack. It is intended to demonstrate, using several case studies, that although 802.11i standard was done in 2004, it is still reliable against to brute force attacks. Pyrit tool was the choice to test it. It is a powerful tool able to work with distributed systems and computing power graphics cards, everything connected to a network.
