Abstract

The initial objective of this project was the incorporation of Open GL in the already existing tool for generating graphics for television. Since the application already designed was based on a limited kind of object to which different parameters could be applied while grouping them in different ways, it was necessary to find a new kind of object that would have some particular quality that might make it attractive enough to be incorporated into the application. The result was a polyhedral object for the mapping of various textures and a text, applying to it a shadow in three dimensions in accordance with the position of the drawing.

Los objetivos iniciales de los proyecto eran la incorporación de OpenGL en la herramienta ya existente de generación de grafismo por televisión. Como el aplicativo ya diseñado se basaba en un reducido tipo de objetos sobre el cual se podían aplicar diferentes parámetros y agruparlos de diferentes maneras, había que encontrar un nuevo tipo de objeto que tuviera alguna particularidad que lo hiciera lo suficientemente atractivo como para incorporarlo en la aplicación. El resultado fue un objeto poliédrico para poder mapear diferentes texturas y un texto aplicando una sombra en tres dimensiones según la posición del dibujo.

Els objectius inicials d'aquest projecte eren la incorporació d'OpenGL a l'eina ja existent de generació de grafisme per televisió. Com que l'aplicador ja dissenyat es basava en un reduït tipus d'objectes sobre els quals es podien aplicar diferents paràmetres i agrupar-los de diferents maneres, calia trobar un nou tipus d'objecte que tingués alguna particularitat que el fes prou atractiu per a incorporar-lo a l'aplicació. El resultat va ser un objecte polièdric per a poder-hi mapar diferents textures i un text aplicant-hi una ombra en tres dimensions segons la posició del dibuix.
