Abstract

During the TFG, a solidarity Marketplace for artisanal products has been developed, a platform focused on the sale of products created by artisans, small producers and artists from all over the world. The platform not only allows users to buy artisanal products, but also integrates a mandatory donation system to charities previously verified and selected by the sellers themselves. The development has been carried out in Java, using the Spring Boot framework for the back-end and Thymeleaf, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap for the front-end. PostgreSQL has been used as the database engine, managing persistence with JPA. The application has been deployed as a microservice using Tomcat embedded in Spring Boot. The project has followed an incremental planning, aligned with the delivery schedule of the PECs and applying principles of agile methodologies for continuous review and improvement. Among the functionalities implemented, the platform allows the registration of users, sellers and charities. Sellers can choose which charities will be associated with their stores, and buyers can manage their purchases by allocating donations to the cause of their choice. Particular importance has been placed on the transparency of the donation system, allowing any user, whether registered or not, to access information about the donations made. The platform seeks to generate a positive impact in the social sphere, promoting sustainability and supporting various charitable causes. In addition, it promotes cultural diversity by giving visibility to artisans and small producers from around the world.
