Carpe Diem

Authors: Sastre Llabrés, Nadal Aleix;
Abstract

The illusion to do some actions, is a feeling we experience when we are young, and as time passes, we lose it, turning this feeling into nostalgia, sadness, etc. Often, these accumulated feelings cause some pain that is hard to process and we tend to reject them, even though they are part of us. Carpe Diem is a short film in 2D with the objective to contact with the inner child and the repressed emotions that we have, through a short protagonist for a young painter and his passion for the art since childhood. On the other hand, the film is digitally animated using software like “Toon Boom Harmony”, “Photoshop” and “Adobe Premier”. Put into practice techniques such as Key frame and other more traditional techniques, such as frame-by-frame methods. It is important to highlight that the visual and musical aesthetics that accompany the film aimed tocommunicate the feelings and emotions of our protagonist.
