Abstract

24-piece musical memory game where we relate the images and names of musical instruments with the way they are played. With this final project, the design and creation of various tabletop musical games are proposed for the Municipal School of Music in Artés, so that both students and teachers can have these resources as support in the teaching-learning process. From the beggining, the needs and concerns of the teaching staff are considered, specifying the musical aspects they want to work on. The creative process for each game begins based on this preliminary work, aiming to offer students a playful experience while providing experiential and motivating learning. After an initial meeting with the school, it is agreed to develop one games: a memory game for instruments. The first phase of the project is carried out using digital design tools, where the game proposals and ideas take shape. During this stage, communication between the proposal and the teaching staff is constant to achieve an ideal product. Once the design is completed, the digital manufacturing phase begins, turning the entire process into tangible materials. It is at this point that the project gains meaning and real utility: children can play and learn through these musical resources in the classroom. Therefore, this work has different purposes: it aims to carry out a service-learning task (SLT), implementing an educational approach that originates and returns to the community based on specific needs. Additionally, it considers exploring new proposals for gamifying musical content for the same center and other educational institutions in the future.
