Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es la creación de un videojuego completo desde cero, incluyendo las fases de diseño, desarrollo y testing. Se trata de un serious game educativo enfocado a un público juvenil que pretende transmitir la importancia de los derechos humanos, así como presentar multitud de problemas generados en la sociedad cuando éstos no están presentes. Mecánicamente, se puede considerar un ARPG 2D donde sus sistemas de diálogos y exploración están fuertemente inspirados en los primeros títulos de Pokémon y similares, mientras que sus pequeños toques de combate lo acercan a otros juegos del estilo The Legend of Zelda o incluso, por su escasez de enemigos a los que enfrentarse, al género Boss Rush. Se ha utilizado la metodología ágil Kanban para controlar el flujo de diseño y desarrollo en todas las etapas del proyecto, así como para gestionar fácilmente las distintas tareas a realizar con unas prioridades bien definidas. El resultado final es un producto jugable en el que se han implementado la mayor parte de las mecánicas y características definidas en la fase inicial del trabajo. Además, gracias a su sencillez, se presenta la posibilidad de ampliar de forma prácticamente ilimitada el contenido del mismo.

L'objectiu d'aquest treball és crear un videojoc complet des de zero, incloent-hi les fases de disseny, desenvolupament i testing. Es tracta d'un serious game educatiu enfocat a un públic juvenil que pretén transmetre la importància dels drets humans, així com presentar multitud de problemes generats a la societat quan aquests no hi són presents. Mecànicament, es pot considerar un ARPG 2D on els seus sistemes de diàlegs i exploració estan fortament inspirats en els primers títols de Pokémon i similars, mentre que els seus petits tocs de combat l'apropen a altres jocs de l'estil The Legend of Zelda o fins i tot, per la seua escassetat d'enemics als que enfrontar-se, al gènere Boss Rush. S'ha utilitzat la metodologia àgil Kanban per a controlar el flux de disseny i desenvolupament en totes les etapes del projecte, així com per a gestionar fàcilment les diferents tasques a realitzar amb unes prioritats ben definides. El resultat final és un producte jugable on s'han implementat la major part de les mecàniques i característiques definides a la fase inicial del treball. A més, gràcies a la seua senzillesa, es presenta la possibilitat d'ampliar de forma pràcticament il·limitada el contingut del mateix.

The goal of this work is to create a complete videogame from scratch, including the design, development and testing phases. It is an educational serious game focused on a young audience that aims to convey the importance of the human rights, as well as introduce many problems generated in society when they are not present. Mechanically, it can be considered a 2D ARPG where its dialog and exploration systems are strongly inspired by the very first Pokémon games or similars, while its combat features bring it closer to other games like The Legend of Zelda or even, due to the small amount of enemies to deal with, to the boss rush genre. The Kanban agile methodology has been used in order to control the design and development flow on all stages of the project, as well as to easily manage the remaining tasks with a well-defined priorities. The final result is a playable product which contains the implementation of almost every mechanics and features defined in the initial stages of the work. In addition, thanks to its simplicity, it offers the possibility of extending its content in a practically unlimited way.
