Autoría y lectura en la literatura digital

Abstract

Digital literature is characterised by giving a clear protagonism to the reader, who will become the one responsible for the development of the narrative responsible for the development of the narrative. Through interactivity, interaction with the author and the convergence of different media, the reader will determine the evolution of the plot. But to what extent can he or she influence the narrative? Does the author remain in the background or does he or she continue to have absolute control over the text? or is the author still in full control of the text? Drawing on post-structuralist theories of reading and authorship, as well as ideas linked to postmodernism, the paper will focus on interactive novels in app format to discuss how author and reader relate to each other in this type of literature, as well as to determine the consequences of this new dynamic.
