EDUKACJA NAJLEPSZĄ INWESTYCJĄ? ABSOLWENCI NA RYNKU PRACY

Abstract

Human capital theory, and especially the slogan of the Operational Programme Human Capital: ‘People – the best investment’ justifies investment in education. There is no doubt about the historical connections between economic development and education. Although treating education simply as an investment is not good enough to clarify the situation of graduates. The analysis of the research results indicates that in Poland today graduates are rarely successful in the job market. And yet they are constantly encouraged to further education. This phenomenon has several explanations of which treating ‘Human Capital’ as an ideology is one.
