Infografika jako forma edukacji w kulturze wzrokocentrycznej

Abstract

People have been communicating through visual imagery for centuries. Before there were written words, there were pictographs, cave paintings, and hieroglyphics. Thus, information graphics have always been a part of civilized culture. Today, infographics are combination of words and visuals and have an extreme impact on catching a reader`s attention. Color and multitude of maps, charts, polls and other graphics in the place of more traditional, long-form, text driven stories in some textbooks and most newspapers. Today we have more access to information than ever before, and the consumption of visual messages is often faster and easier than traditional reading.
