Modelo colaborativo de reaprovisionamiento conjunto, estocástico y multi-objetivo: reducción de costos, desviación y ciclo de conversión de efectivo (C2C)

Abstract

Small and medium enterprises are considered as one of the engines of the economy. They contribute to the development of the country by generating employment and contributing a large part of the gross domestic product. However, these types of organizations are often volatile and vulnerable for several reasons. For example, they tend to face high logistics costs and low liquidity. Given this reality, it was previously proposed a model (S-CJRP) that reduces inventory costs through the collaboration of small companies that replenish their products together. However, this solution left aside the problem of liquidity, which expressly affects SMEs, and which in fact constitute a large part of the potential beneficiaries of the S-CJRP. It was sought in this project a solution that not only reduces the cost but also increases liquidity by means of expanding the S-CJRP model. The objective function of the model in question was expanded to include two additional objectives (intended to increase liquidity): cash to cash and deviation of payments for product replenishment. Cash to cash measures the time required to convert the money paid to suppliers in money collected from clients, while the deviation indicates the average of the digressions with respect to the mean. Three possible criteria combinations for the cost ($$), cash to cash (C2C) and the deviation (σ) were analyzed: ($$)–(C2C), ($$)–(σ) and ($$)-(C2C)-(σ). To solve the optimization problem a genetic algorithm designed to solve the problem S-CJRP that reduces the cost of inventory management ($$) was modified to additionally minimize the cash to cash (C2C) and the deviation of the payments (σ). The results obtained indicated that the best criteria combinations are: $$-C2C y $$-C2C-σ. In a particular case, it was found that using the model that includes the three objectives, it is possible to reduce the deviation by 70% and the cash to cash by 18.48%, at the expense of an increase in the cost of only 5.23%.
